Till Death Do Us Unite

Karine Giebel

The mountain wont hide their crimes much longer...

Vincent, mountain guide, has been living in solitude since his wife left him with no explanation five years earlier. Servane, a police officer newly transferred to the region and fascinated by the mountains, is the only one able to break into his world. In these wide open spaces against the backdrop of a magnificent scenery, these two solitary beings strike up a deep friendship...
But the mountains also have a cruel side: Vincents best friend is found dead at the bottom of a ravine. As far as all are concerned it is a tragic albeit banal accident. Nevertheless, the guide refuses to believe that it was simply a fall, especially since anonymous messages put him on the trail of assassins. Backed up by Servane, Vincent starts his own investigation and soon unravels secrets that should probably have remained deeply buried in this so seemingly pleasant a valley...

- The reader becomes ensnared in this novel, full of new developments.
A scenario off the beaten track, in the literal as well as the figurative sense.
- An amazing framework and decor that the author describes wonderfully, thanks to her own personal experience. The mountain becomes a real element of anxiety in itself.
