In April 1945, the third Reich is about to collapse. On the orders of Nazi dignitaries, a SS convoy leaves Berlin in flames to remove mysterious boxes. At the same time, a Masonic neurology professor is savagely killed by SS.
In April 2005, a woman archivist specialised in the Grand Loge of France is killed. She had been working on Masonic archives that had been sacked by the Nazis in France in 1940. The same night, an archaeologist, who is in possession of an enigmatic engraved stone, is aslo killed at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. These murders are all folowing a ritual evoking the Freemasonry's founder's death.
Freemason Master Captain Marcas and his colleague Jade Zewinski will conduct their investigation during which they will face implacable killers from the Nazi mystic fraternal society Thulé that is an ancestral enemy of Freemasonry.

Jacques Ravenne is the pseudonym of a high-ranking Freemason with intimate knowledge of the history and culture of the Order.
Éric Giacometti used to be an investigative journalist who reported extensively on Freemasonic mores.
