May 1821. Before Napoleon passed away, he distributed seven silver eagles to relatives who knew their secret.
In November 2018, one of the eagles is put up for auction in Paris. Two buyers are fighting over it: Horacio Del Monte, a collector and notorious art trafficker, for whom the eagles would lead to the Spanish crown jewels and James Wisslemore, a wealthy American art collector, who believes that the eagles lead to a source of priceless power and knowledge.
James hires two people to find the eagles: Alex, a professor of History of Civilization, and Mary, a private investigator. Alex and Mary are up against Del Monte and his right-hand woman and will face many obstacles before they can unravel one of the greatest mysteries that Napoleon has sought to conceal from the world.
