The regulation

Gaëlle Perrin-Guillet

Only one will remain.

Somewhere in the world in 2300. A walled-up enclave shelters the survivors of a cataclysm. Cut off from the world, they live in autarky in a society run by the TEN, mysterious leaders who are only seen on the screens lining the city walls. To avoid overpopulating the enclave, the TEN have set up Regulation: eight regulators are given a list of four names. Four people to kill. Without getting killed in return, because becoming a regulator means seeing your name appear on another list. Only one rule: never reveal that you're a regulator. Only one goal: kill and survive.

When Regulation is announced on city screens, the population knows that the hunt begins. And fear sets in.

After her Soul of London trilogy set in 19th-century London, Gaëlle Perrin-Guillet marks her arrival at OutreFleuve with a harrowing dystopia that raises questions about the drifting of society.
