“Lay, lay, lay! There are better things to do with your life than lay eggs! I want to see the sea!” shouts Carmela the white hen. One night she makes up her mind, and that's it, she's off. After an exhausting journey, Carmela sees the sea, and gets to swim in it, surf in it and even pee in it. But when she takes a look around her, she can't see the shore any more!
She falls asleep on a plank. Christopher Columbus, who just happens to be passing by, picks her up, and Carmela discovers America and meets Pitikok, a red rooster. They fall in love. The rooster and the hen decide to go back to Carmela's coop, and Carmelito, a little pink chick, is born soon after.
